Jesus Freaks

Jesus Freaks was founded and began on August 20th, 2011 in Sylacauga, Alabama by two high schoolers who were on fire for God to share with others their love of Jesus and the message of salvation. From there at their high school they began to host bible studies throughout the school year, online meetings, and in-person to collaborate on efforts to bring recognition to God in their generation and schools across the country. This was a mere dream of these two high schoolers who wanted to see their fellow peers enjoying life with a relationship with Jesus Christ.

After persisting through low times in late 2013, Jesus Freaks was contacted by a pastor to begin a branch in Liberia. In early November of 2014, Jesus Freaks launched their prayer ministry, Prayers For A Cause, which is continuously impacting the lives of students and people around the world through social media and in person. Through their prayer ministry, Prayers For A Cause, they have reached over 300,000 + people in various states and even outside of the United States.

In 2015, the executive team at the time accepted an application to begin a branch of Jesus Freaks in Liberia and later appointed the branch president as the regional coordinator for Africa to oversee and help advance the efforts and goals of Jesus Freaks in Africa.

As the years past in late 2018, the fire re-ignited with an application from a local pastor to begin a branch of Jesus Freaks in Pakistan and later accepted and approved its second international branch of Jesus Freaks.

Now, Jesus Freaks have taken a new approach to do the work of ministry in institutions of higher learning starting on Thursday, March 5th, 2020 at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama.
